Founded in 1967, Moorpark College is a community college that is part of the Ventura County Community College District in Southern California. Moorpark College provides its 15,000 students – including international – the opportunity to complete their first two years of an American university education affordably. For over 40 years, Moorpark College has served as a bridge to brighter futures for nearly half-a-million students. Our students come from all walks of life: high school graduates, adults attending college for the first time, professionals renewing skills, and workers seeking new career paths.
Moorpark College (MC) is one of the most beautiful community colleges in California. The campus is located at the eastern edge of the city of Moorpark. Set on 150 beautiful acres midway between the cities of Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, Moorpark College enjoys sunny mountain views and afternoon ocean breezes. It includes state of the art academic classrooms, a football stadium, track, other athletic facilities, America’s Teaching Zoo – California’s only zoo training program, an observatory, and Performing Arts. Moorpark College is one of the three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District, and part of the California Community College system of 113 community colleges. MC offers two semesters throughout the year (Fall and Spring) in addition to a summer sessions (May through August).
